How to use it
- Enter each assignment's Score, Max, and Weight %, or use Add item for a new row.
- Read your weighted final grade and letter grade in the readout.
Formula
Final % = Σ(score/max × weight) ÷ Σ(weight)
Worked example
A midterm worth 30% (85/100), a final worth 40% (78/100), and homework worth 30% (92/100) combine to a weighted final grade around 84.7%.

Recommendations
- • Weights should add up to 100% for the result to represent a true final grade — the tool flags it if they don't.
- • Add every graded item, even low ones — leaving one out will inflate the calculated grade.
- • Adjust the numbers experimentally to see what score you'd need on remaining items to hit a target final grade.
Frequently asked questions
The tool still calculates a weighted average using whatever weights you enter, but flags that they don't total 100% since that usually means something's missing or miscounted.
