How to use it

Formula
Volume (cubic ft) = area × depth (inches ÷ 12). Cubic yards = volume ÷ 27. Weight (lb) = cubic yards × that gravel type's density. Tons = weight ÷ 2,000.
Worked example

A 20ft × 10ft area at 4 inches deep, general gravel: 2.47 cubic yards, about 7,161 lb, or 3.58 tons.
